Teaching Is Not Testing

"Writing has become a pseudo subject. This is best proved in the way we prepare teachers. Most states do not require a course in teaching of writing, and twenty-four of the fifty state teacher education institutions do not even offer such a course." pg. 11

It is no wonder teachers often feel frustrated and at times incompetent when it comes to the teaching of writing. Many have never even had a class in college in the very basics of teaching writing!
